How Web Fonts Work

Web Fonts Without Manual Installation

There is a difference between normal TTF or OTF fonts and web fonts. Web fonts are used only in web browsers. They do not require explicit downloading and installation of fonts used in a webpage.

These fonts do not remain in the browser cache or PC after use. The web browser removes these font files immediately after the user leaves the webpage or website. Web fonts like WOFF are similar to TrueType fonts but are compressed for quick downloading.
